SUMMER BALLET INTENSIVE with Valery Lantratov
We are so proud to have Mr Valery Lantratov of The Russian National Ballet Foundation back at RMHDC for a 3rd year!
Mr. Lantratov was a principal dancer with the Moscow Stanislavsky and Kremlin Ballets and a guest artist with the Bolshoi. He was personally selected by Rudolf Nureyev to be one of six lead dancers in the ballet star’s 1991 farewell tour. Mr. Lantratov has performed as a solo guest artist in Japan, Germany, Italy, Greece, France, Portugal, Spain and the United States and has danced principal roles in such ballets as Don Quixote, Coppelia, and Romeo and Juliet. Mr. Lantratov holds a teaching certificate from GITIS, Russia’s National Academy of Theatrical Arts and was given Russia’s highest artistic honor, the title “People’s Artist of Russia” and declared to be a National Treasure by former Premier Yeltsin. For three years, Mr. Lantratov served as a guest instructor at the Boston Ballet. He has been sharing his knowledge with dance students in the United States for many years now.
